CHAIRMAN

Mr.J. Devadas Nayagam, the Founder – Chairman of the Institution is a Post Graduate in Physics from the University of Madras and also a Post Graduate in Education from the Annamalai University. He started his career as a Post Graduate Teacher in St. Bede’s Anglo Indian Higher Secondary School, Santhome, Chennai – 4 in 1981 and continued in that capacity till 1999. From 1984 to 1994, he was also working in the Loyola College (Evening), Chennai – 34 as Assistant Professor in the Department of Physics. In 1985, he founded the Excel Summer Institute which offered a coaching programme for the Tamilnadu Professional Courses Entrance Examination. The Institute had branches all over Tamilnadu. In 1999, he founded the Magna College of Engineering.

His experience as a teacher and as the Founder - Director of the Excel Summer Institute has given him valuable opportunity to have a first hand knowledge of the learning needs and study habits of a wide cross – section of post higher secondary students. This experience has helped him to design the teaching and learning process of the college.
